1967 MG Midget Mk III £ 0

This early Mark III Midget was first registered new in the UK in February 1967. It went through a number of hands, appearing to remain in regular use, receiving some major mechanical works in the 1990’s, followed up by extended renovation work in 2018. This included a full respray; full interior re-trim with new carpets fitted and mechanical work comprising a brake system rebuild and suspension overhaul. There is quite an extensive paper record from the 1980’s, MOT certificates to 2015 and invoices for the work completed in 2018.

The Midget was purchased by a Guernsey resident in 2020 and registered in the island at that time. It has been kept garaged and seen limited subsequent use.

Having covered very few miles since importation to Guernsey, the car remains in excellent mechanical health and is running well.

The full respray carried out in 2018 still looks great – the paintwork gleams, offset by the black powder-coated wire wheels. The exterior chrome work is complete and bright, with just a little patination. The folding hood is in excellent condition and is accompanied by a full, black hardtop.

As part of the restoration work, the interior was re-trimmed in red with white piping and new red carpeting fitted – all of which remains in very good condition. A Moto Lita-type steering wheel has been added and the dashboard is in excellent shape.

This Midget presents superbly, looking very smart in its white body with black wheels colour scheme. Although restoration work was carried out 5 years ago, it remains in excellent condition and is ready for a new owner to use regularly or keep just for sunny, top-down, weekend drives.
