This guided intertidal experience sets out from Seymour Slip in Grouville, leading participants across the seabed to the historic Seymour Tower. The route follows the rhythm of the tide, crossing shallow pools, shifting shingle, and rocky sections that are only accessible at low water.
The walk takes place within a protected Ramsar wetland area, known for its rich marine environment and ecological importance. Along the way, the guide highlights how the landscape changes with the tides and how specialist species survive in this constantly shifting habitat.
On arrival at Seymour Tower, there is time to pause and take in wide coastal views across Grouville Bay and towards key landmarks along the Jersey coastline. On clear days, the outlook extends across oyster beds, mussel farming structures, and even as far as the French coast.
This is a working tidal landscape where conditions can change quickly, and the route is dependent on safe timing with the tide.
