Halloween Family Fun Day

Ocean Culture Life brings together marine education, creativity and Halloween activities for a family day at The Watersplash Beach Bar & Diner. Taking place from 10am to 4pm, the event features interactive storytelling, hands-on art sessions and activities inspired by the underwater world.

Author Grace Bailey will read from Our Oceans: A Blue Adventure and answer questions about her book and experiences beneath the waves. Artist Jamie Willow, known as DrawnByJamie, will demonstrate how the book's characters are developed, with children invited to create their own versions using air-dry clay and colouring materials. A family film screening begins at 2pm.

Visitors can also explore a sensory area, make creations at the Cardboard Creatures craft table and enjoy colouring activities throughout the day. Halloween costumes are encouraged, with prizes for the best dressed. Copies of Our Oceans: A Blue Adventure will be available at the merchandise stand, where families can also learn about Ocean Culture Life's education programme.

Highlights

• 11am–11.45am: Book reading and Q&A with Grace Bailey, author of Our Oceans: A Blue Adventure.
• 12.30pm–1.15pm: Character illustration demonstration with Jamie Willow (DrawnByJamie), followed by air-dry clay modelling and colouring.
