The HSBA Garden Railway opens its garden layout to visitors this June, offering a chance to see an extensive G Scale railway in action. Set within a private garden in the parish of St. Mary, the layout spans over 138 metres of track, weaving through tunnels, across bridges and around a pond.
Throughout the day, volunteers operate multiple model trains equipped with lights, sound and smoke effects, creating a detailed and dynamic display. Visitors can explore the layout at their own pace, watching trains pass through stations and scenic sections of the garden.
Alongside the railway, there are activities designed with families in mind. Children can take part in a scavenger hunt around the layout, while a small hands-on railway setup at the entrance offers a chance to play. A café on site serves hot drinks, cakes and snacks, and seating is available for those who want to relax and watch the trains.
