About this Event

Register and come along to “The Ongoing Journey of St Helier Harbour” with Bronze Badge Guide Melanie Cavey from JTGA and explore St Helier harbour history.

Originally just two little coves lashed by Atlantic storms beneath the dominant Mont de la Ville St Helier harbour was first developed some 350 years ago after decades of demands from the Island’s enterprising 17-18th century merchants. Over time first steam power and then the era of roll-on /roll-off ferries and yachting marinas have brought changes. Now, with more development due, we look back on this walk at the highs and lows of the harbour’s history and get to see some of the original artefacts that time has left behind.
