Come along to this free talk by Société Jersiaise, presented by Sue Hardy about life after the war between Liberation and the Coronation and the 1950s.

The overwhelming joy of Liberation and the excitement of homecoming was tempered by rationing and austerity.

It was a time of hard work and making do, often as if living in a past age. Despite all difficulties, it was a time of carefree happiness, a time to rebuild lives and for the Island to recover.
