Originally farmland, Oaklands is a rambling garden surrounded by beds containing many specimen shrubs. As you walk round you will find Cherries, Exochorda, Azaleas and Rhododendron among so many other interesting plants and trees. Oaklands has such a lot to see including a really interesting arboretum. The trees planted by Jurat Bonn include silver birch, acers and what is reputed to be Jersey’s largest walnut. An informal and natural feel prevails throughout. A further highlight is the well-stocked kitchen garden which keeps the family self-sufficient in fruit and veg. Delicious Jersey cream teas will be available.
Open by kind permission of owners, all proceeds go towards JAYF (Jersey Association for Youth and Friendship).
Entrance £5 (Children Free)
JAYF are enormously grateful to Aztec Group for its continued support of the Open Garden scheme.
