The HSBA Garden Railway is a G Scale garden layout based in Jersey, Channel Islands. Over 138m (455ft) of track navigate through tunnels, over bridges and past the pond in a garden in the parish of St. Mary.

Our volunteers operate multiple trains all day, mimicking real schedules with some pausing at stations for others to pass. Our locomotives boast lights, sound, and smoke for an immersive experience, disappearing off over bridges and through tunnels. Visitors can stay as long as they wish and enjoy the layout as much as we do.

At the entrance will be a small layout for the kids (big and small!) to play with.
A scavenger hunt scouring the details of the layout with a sweat treat for those completing.
A cafe with snacks and refreshments.
Seating to take a rest and watch the trains (and the kids) go round.
We have volunteers operating the layout. If you have any questions, just ask someone in a maroon t-shirt and we’ll be happy to chat.

You can grab teas, coffees, cakes and snacks at our Railway Cafe to enjoy while you watch the trains go around.

Purpose

For every open day, we choose a new charity on the island to support. All proceeds from this event (entry fee and anything bought in our Railway Cafe) will be donated to our chosen charity: Jersey Rescue Dogs.
