Established in 2009, Island Pharmacy can be found on the ground floor at 14 Gloucester Street. We offer a complete range of pharmacy services to clients and are staffed by educated, qualified professionals.

 

Our services include prescription dispensing, free prescription collection and delivery, free healthcare advice, the morning after pill, monitored dosage and more.

Where are you located?

Island Pharmacy is conveniently located at 14 Patriotic Street, just a short walk from the Hospital and Patriotic Street car park.

What are your opening hours?

We’re open: • Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 6.00pm • Saturday: 9.00am – 1:00pm • Sunday & Bank Holidays: Closed (Hours may vary during public holidays – updates are posted on our social media and website.)

Do I need an appointment to speak to a pharmacist?

No appointment is needed. You can drop in anytime for confidential, professional advice on your medicines or minor health concerns

Do you dispense both NHS and private prescriptions?

Yes - we dispense all Jersey prescriptions and private prescriptions from Channel prescribers

How do I order my repeat prescription?

You can request repeats through your GP surgery and nominate Island Pharmacy for collection. We’ll handle the rest and notify you when your medication is ready.

How long does a prescription take to be ready?

Most prescriptions are ready within 48 hours. Special-order or controlled drugs may take slightly longer depending on supplier delivery times.

Can I transfer my prescription to Island Pharmacy?

Absolutely. Just let your surgery or prescriber know you’d like to use Island Pharmacy

Do you offer delivery?

Yes. We deliver to homes and care facilities across St Helier and surrounding parishes. Delivery is free for eligible patients and available for a small fee for private prescriptions.

Can someone collect my prescription for me?

Yes, with your permission a family member, friend, or carer may collect your medication

What private services do you offer?

Through our in-house clinics, we provide: • Island Vitality Clinic — Blood testing, health screening, and wellness consultations. • Island Cannabis Clinic — Access to UK-registered doctors for private medicinal cannabis prescriptions. • HRT & Men’s Health Services — Consultations, prescriptions, and follow-up support. • Ear Microsuction — Safe, gentle ear wax removal by trained professionals. • Flu Vaccinations

How does the medicinal cannabis service work?

Patients are assessed by a doctor through Island Cannabis Clinic. If eligible, prescriptions are sent directly to Island Pharmacy for dispensing and follow-up care.

What health checks do you provide?

We offer blood pressure checks, blood tests (including thyroid, hormone and nutrition panels), cholesterol testing, and lifestyle consultations.

Do you provide emergency contraception?

Yes - our pharmacists can provide emergency contraception confidentially without an appointment.

Can you check for medication interactions?

Yes - our pharmacists will review your medicines to ensure they are safe and compatible.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept debit/credit cards, contactless payments, and online payments through our website.

Can you help me manage multiple medications?

Yes - we can prepare blister packs or monitored dosage systems, and provide medication reviews to help simplify your routine.

Do you offer advice for carers?

Absolutely. Our pharmacists can guide carers on safe storage, administration, and disposal of medicines.
