This new FREE exhibition in the Jersey Museum & Art Gallery explores how artists in Jersey have captured and interpreted light in their work. Known as the sunniest place in the British Isles, Jersey’s distinctive clarity of light has long inspired both visiting and local artists.
Through a range of perspectives, the exhibition looks at light as subject, as a source of reflection, and as a way of shaping and promoting an image of the Island. Visitors can also discover rarely seen pieces from the Jersey Heritage collection, many of which have not been displayed for several years.
